Now I plan on some freestyle art making. Yep! I&apos;m going to create freely, without the pressure of meeting deadlines or trying to complete a series. It&apos;s so much more fun to create as I feel the need. I&apos;ve even thought about building some new furniture. I found a cool table the other day and I&apos;m trying to decide if it will be an addition to the insectables or something new. I'm happy with the new work so far. I'm still going to try and finish a few more before next week. I love what I do but there are times I want to mix it up a little more. After this series of wax paintings I may try a mini series of acrylics, or collage, to give my body and mind a rest. New ideas flow easier after focusing on one project for a while. I'm looking forward to the Artist Reception, because I got to see several of the artist's works, and they look pretty good. I think I'm ready to put my many thoughts on plywood, panel, paper, or whateverelse I can find around the studio. I've spent a long time thinking about this next body of work. I've created things along the way, played with different media, painted some things for charity, and done a few small commissions. Now it's time to work for me. I'll be working on 4-5 new pieces for a show coming up early Feburary. I think I'm ready to put my many thoughts on plywood, panel, paper, or whateverelse I can find around the studio. I've spent a long time thinking about this next body of work. I love to get caught up in my surroundings. In my mind things converge, become one. I constantly think or&nbsp;envision my memories and my imagination communicating with my current experiences. Maybe it will make since once the work is complete, or not.<br />"Do you remember that place?"&nbsp;<br /><br />    Not the place on the map; the place just out of site. Never noticing how beautiful it was. Maybe it was rusted, corroded, weathered or worn. That&rsquo;s what makes it beautiful and gives it life.<br /><br />    I noticed that place! I actually look for it. Sometimes I find a new shiny place; full of vibrant colors and sharp edges. I try not to stare. I just look out of the side of my peripheral vision and try to imagine what kind of place it might be.<br /><br />    I remember that place! Just got back from a camping trip. No phone, web, nothing but the great outdoors and family. It's nice to have the chance to hear your own thoughts. I try to spent quiet time in the studio, but it's not the same as being away from all the normal distractions. So now I'm back and feel a little more confident in what I want to do next. Maybe it will work. If not, oh well.
