I've put this off for some time now, but I think it's time for me to write a few thoughts about my work. I'm not going to promise a very interesting blog, or that I'll be on here every day, but you can come by when you feel like it and see whats been on my mind. At least what I decide to share:-)
Lately I've been thinking most about what direction my work will go, what media I'll focus on, and the subjects of my new works. So far I'm thinking I need to focus on the things that I feel strongest. I'm not going to start making a political, religous, or any other social statement, but I will be digging deep to depict my inner thoughts and trying to translate them into my art. We'll see how that goes.

How bizarre. Just what I wrote to you about. Didn't even know you had a blog. You've got to dig deep and get to roots. Immediate feelings can be good, as can reactions. The best work, though, I think at least, comes from someplace even we don't recognize. Call it the "un" conscious or the "sub" conscious but it's really just things that resonate; things that are true to all. Or, I could be wrong. Plenty of artists work in the here and now. I do that too, I guess. "Process" oriented work fits that bill. How high can you go on that mood swing?
