Hello! Time is ticking away and before we know it, it will be time for my show at the Airport. If you haven't already read about it, I have several new paintings going in the Flying Solo Exhibit at Nashville International Airport. I'll deliver the work on September the 2nd and the reception will be a few weeks later. As soon as I get the exact date I'll pass it on. So today I just finished the last painting that will be in this show. It's a painting of Mount Cammera in the Smoky Mountains. Really nest place to hike, and the view from the lookout tower is amazing! Below is a photo of the finished piece. It's 24 x 24, as is most of my latest paintings. I like the square paintings lately, along with an occasional rectangle at 36 x 24. Now that the paintings are complete, I'll get to building the frames. I'm kinda ready for a break from my painting process and anxious to get busy building a few pieces of furniture. We will see if that happens. I have a couple more paintings to do for another project or two, but I think I'll be able to make some sawdust in between. I'll be busy on Instagram and Periscope when I do. If you haven't connected to me on those social media sites you're missing all the fun stuff. Especially Periscope. I love showing my process and answering any questions you might have. I'm going to get off here and make a plan for the rest of my week. You have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon! RLP
