I have spent a lot of time painting smaller paintings, for a while now. In my down time I've also collected many images for future paintings. So now that I'm getting a few things sorted out, I've decided to get back on a new painting that's not so small. The image on the left is called "Nashville boots" and came out rather well. It's only 12x12 and my next painting is 24x24. Not going to disclose the subject, but will defiantly post images after it is done. The only problem with a larger painting is having to wait longer for completion. Sometimes, I have little patience. RLP
We had a great opening reception at Dental Bliss last night. Thanks to all that put such a great show together. I was really happy with how well my paintings looks in the space. It's amazing how this beautiful lodge is nestled in the woods and just a stones throw from the Franklin exit off i65. If you couldn't make it and would like to see the exhibit, you can drop in anytime during normal business hours. They welcome visitors and would love for you to see my paintings. They will probably even offer a glass of wine as you take a stroll around. You'll be happy you went, I promise!
It's been a great week. Making progress on my 60 paintings project, took some time in between meetings to get photos for future paintings, and I got to go sailing yesterday afternoon. I think I'm about half way through with my paintings for the commission. Once I get further along I might tackle a large painting. I keep going back and forth with what the subject of the next painting will be. The photos I took yesterday were in a grave yard. I found several beautiful Angels atop graves. The photo posted here is one that I plan to use. I also took some great shots while I was on the sailboat. I guess while I'm in the studio working the rest of the day, and next week, I'll be trying to decide on what I'll paint next. I'm just glad I have several options that I'm excited to try.
Have a great Independence Day, and weekend. I'll be playing some golf and probably doing a little work. With beer of course;)
