I think last time I was on here, I was working to build inventory for my show in Port Dover, Ontario. I'm happy to say, my show was a great success. We sold a total of 12 paintings and I met a lot of new friends. I fortunate that the gallery manager, Lisa, and her husband are planning a trip to Nashville, to deliver my remaining work and to take a little holiday in Music City. They were so kind to me and Tracy while we visited Ontario, so hopefully we can return the favor and show them some cool things in Nashville. So Lisa's husband, Mike Barber, is an amazing artist too. Here's a link to his website: http://thebarbergallery.ca
If you happen to be in the Port Dover area of Ontario, they are having a gallery tour and Mike is one of the artist opening his studio to visitors. He'll also have his daughter's work on display. She's super talented too. Here's a link to her work, which happens to be encaustic:) https://www.sierrabarber.com I could go on about my time in Ontario, but I'll save that for another time. If you follow me on FaceBook or Instagram I'm sure you saw all my photos.
Now, for my next shows, I'll be one of 3 artist at the Leadership Donelson/Hermitage fundraiser on October the 14th. This isn't just another art show, we will have a display, but will also demonstrate our process to the guest at the event. It's only $25 to attend and you will be fed, entertained, and given the opportunity to purchase some amazing art. The event is called ARTable, and this will be my second time as a featured artist. The first was a wonderful experience, and I'm really excited to be participating again this year. Find more info on my events page.
The other big event I have in October is Artclectic, the University School of Nashville's yearly fundraiser. If you remember, I did this last year and sold a lot of paintings. I loved getting to present my work to a brand new audience and was received so well. So, hopefully I'll have similar success at this years exhibit. It is open to the pubic, so please come out and say hi, and browse the other 70 artist on display. You won't be disappointed. They put on a top notch event.
After my October shows I'll be busy catching up on commissions and even taking a little time away from my normal routine so I can charge my batteries and have some fun playing with some new ides. Plus I have a long list of projects that have been put off because of my busy summer.
I think this is my longest post ever. If you made it all the way though, Thank you for taking time to check in with my happenings. I hope to see you at one of my events soon. If not, keep in touch on social media. I'll be posting some new images on my paintings page, so be on the look out:)
Take Care! RLP
