I hope you are doing well. I'm plugging away in the studio getting ready for my next two shows, trying to update my website, and figure out the YouTube Live thing. I'm not very good at the last two. You may have already noticed that I've added, or rearranged, images on my "Paintings" page. I'm trying to make things easier to find and better organized.
Sorry for my random notes, but I want to just share my thoughts on things that are on my mind this morning.
Soon I'll be adding the ability for you to purchase my art directly from my website. First, I'll need to figure out how all this works and how I'll handle taxes, shipping, and whatever else is involved. I'm pretty excited about this one. I have so many ideas on how I'll be able to share my work with those that are interested. I want to make it easy for you to own an original artwork from my studio. Stay tuned for more about this:)
I'm also going to be working to get that newsleter/email going. My plan is for a quarterly email where I will share my newest works, exhibit news, and other news. If you'd be interested in getting these emails, please add your info to my contact page. If you have already done so, I have you on my list and will send out a message asking if you would still like to be on my email list.
Dealing with YouTube Live is a lot more complicated than FaceBook Live, so it may be a little while before I do a live video of my process. Until then I'm going to be sharing short videos of my process that are easy to follow and show step by step how to create your own ink transfer on beeswax paintings. I'll start supper simple, explaining what tools and materials you'll need and then go into each step discussing tips on how to avoid some common mistakes.
I'm going to get off here and get busy. If you're in the Nashville area, I hope you will join us "The Four Artist Tennessee" at Blue Fig Gallery in Nashville, at the Arcade on 5th ave , during April's First Saturday Art Crawl. If you'd like to join us in the preview party, be there from 5:00-6:00. The art Crawl will be from 6-9pm.
