I finally spent some time in the studio and made some progress on a painting I've been wanting to do for a while. It's an image from a cool Nashville landmark. I remember long ago, while I was still living in Paducah, Ky, I listened to WKDF radio back when it was Rock-N-Roll and I was working in Cadiz. Now it's country radio. Either way, those 4 letters perched upon the building are a local landmark. I'm really happy with how it came out. I spent a lot of time making sure to get the details in areas it were important. Below is an image of the painting. It was taken from my iPhone, so not the best. I'll get a better image as soon as I get it scanned. I might even do a limited edition print. Let me know if you'd be interested. I don't do prints very often, but I have a great connection for doing top quality reproductions.
I'll have this painting on display at an upcoming show in July at "Picture This" in Hermitage, TN, along with another new piece. I'm still working through ideas for the one I'll reveal that night. To be fair to you guys from out of town, I'll be posting a Periscope video the night of my show as I reveal the newest painting. I'll be actually rubbing the paper off the newest painting that night. I'll also be talking about a new class for the month of August. I've had a ton of request for a class, so I'll be putting one together for you locals. More details to follow. More info to come. Thank you so much for all your support. I love what I do. RLP
