Hello all! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the Christmas season. I've had a chance to visit with some family and get caught up on a few things, but still a lot more to do. This week I've been trying to do a little work in the studio. I've completed a commission or two, been going through photos for new work, and am trying a few small paintings. It's been hard for me to work small without spending too much time to make it worth doing. When I try to paint smaller pieces I have to be a little more patient getting tiny details. Without important details the painting will not be a success and with details I could spend as much time as if it were a large painting. With that said, my smaller paintings may be a little pricey if it takes lot of time to complete. Sometimes I wish I could knock out two or three small paintings a day, but I choose a medium more difficult than that:) I'll try to get more of my new images on here soon. If you can't wait, go to my Instagram page and check out what's been going on. My latest small painting was a baseball and I thought it came out pretty cool I'll put a photo of it below. I still have plans to get in the garage and do some mixed media stuff. It's just been too cold and I need a few days blocked off to be productive. For now I'll stay in the warm studio and make some small works and maybe tackle cleaning my space. Too many things have found their way to my studio and I need some elbow room. If I'm not back on here before, have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! Peace and Love! RLP
